“He overcame the sting of death, and opened the Kingdom of Heaven to all believers.” (Hymn, Te Deum)
Who could have come up with this plan except for God who is full of surprising ideas? In order to overcome death, God Himself would enter into it.
Jesus, after accepting the ultimate sacrifice, was buried in death for three days. But God is sovereign and rules even in death. He broke out of it of His own power and created an exit for us who will follow through it.
Those who live worthily will take Jesus’ exit out of death to true life, a life more alive than we have ever experienced.
Accepting our sufferings in Christ becomes as a road map that will readily help us find the exit that leads to eternal life.
“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?”
