Life is not a game. In the big picture of this enormous universe and of thousands of years, our individual life-span is but a wisp. We will see it all as a fraction of a second from our position in the afterlife.
Yet, every second of our life is huge with potential and fraught with danger. It takes a second to knowingly and willfully choose to violate God’s will; another to make a heroic act of sacrificial love or to repent and be saved. Countless times a day, we are faced with the choice of either appeasing our will or subduing it. Sometimes we will what God wills, but other times our wills rebel, wanting their own way.
Whether it is in using the latest technology, doing or not doing something, conversing with another or dwelling on a thought, we are in the midst of spiritual warfare. In the struggle for our choices, angels and demons clash in a whirlwind of raging war. Every choice we make could either, bring us closer to God, take us further from Him, or separate us from Him completely. And every choice we make could be our last.
