"Through Him, with Him and in Him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is yours Almighty Father, forever and ever,” to which the congregation answers, “Amen!”
This is the Great Amen. Like the consecration, it is a moment during Holy Mass that transcends time and brings us to life’s conclusion. This is the final act. We who are present are united with the faithful who have died and those yet to be born, and together we perform the purpose of our existence and the goal of life, that is, to give glory to the Father.
By entering into a relationship with the Trinity we become heirs of God. It is through, with, and in the humanity of our divine Savior and united in one family by the Holy Spirit that what we were created for is fulfilled; to worship God the Father in awe while at the same time to find joy in the arms of our Dad, Abba.
